SUMMER END WHITE PARTY

Although the summer is coming to an end, that doesn’t stop the fashion trends. California is one of the few places where you can wear shorts in the winter and a leather jacket during the summer completely going against the fashion rule of the four seasons.

It’s not uncommon to find social gatherings towards the end of these drastic heat waves we’ve been having with either pool or rooftop parties.

When attending the Brambila event this past week in Santa Monica, all guest were asked to adorn in an all white fashion to celebrate the collaboration of two beauty businesses and the start of their success.

Normally when I think of all white, the first thing that comes into mind are the Hamptons or a yacht party, so clearly it has a far more upper class persona among a particular social scene. What has once been a common French tradition, has now become a swanky way of creating a theme within a society.

While I don’t typically wear white being that I can’t keep it clean for no more than the time I put it on, but when Lauren, The Leaux Project, and I decided to attend, we’d figure we’d create our very own theme going as cookies and cream. Oreos to be exact.

While Lauren and I kept it simple with the most comfortable and easiest finds especially last minute,  we couldn’t help but to admire some of the guest at the event and what they were wearing. I might not be the biggest fashion guru or even fashion blogger, but I do have a good eye for what I’d add to my already versatile closet; and I can do it without pretentious labels.

These two fashion and lifestyle bloggers totally looked like they’ve traveled a bit looking for the next new trends for what’s hot and what’s  not. What I admired about their style is that no effort was needed yet with such an effortless appeal, they oozed fashion status. Their personality equally matched their cool approachable vibe and so I just had to add them to my Fashion Friday!

Earlier while Lauren and I had been posted near the red carpet, we couldn’t help but to turn our heads in the direction of two young women that casually crossed our paths in the cutest ensembles. Ironically, Lauren and I compared our styles to theirs in a way of how different we are yet how we go well together. When I saw them again, they just so happened to have an extra friend who too rocked her look. With three looks, I’d have no problem attending more all white parties in the future knowing that wearing all white could look this chic and easy. Love, Love and Love!

Another head turner was one of the most unexpected and entertaining women in the room was Pam. Do not and I mean NOT be fooled by her chic elegance as she has personality for days! Men and cocktails would make for the best talk show with this woman if she chose another route other than hair. I clearly have a soft spot for dress suits as I find them so classic and empowering for women, but although I couldn’t reach her to steal her wardrobe ideas, I still had to blast her as one of my Fashion Fridays!

So there you have it, my trendsetters for the end of this summer, but always remember, it’s not who or what you’re wearing but how it makes you feel!
